and most of all lewie!

portland

its grey and super lush with spring greenery popping out everywhere.
i am so in love with it. my roots are so deep here. portland is a part of me.
its kind of an odd thing to live in the town you grew up in. there is a ghost on every corner.
first kisses, drinking on corners and in parks, rollerskating, tree climbing, criminal mischief. its all here.
the home my mom still leaves in, where i took my first steps, had countless parties, learned about dirt, plants, and how hard being a human can be. where my father died. the new neighborhood where i am building a life with lewie is the same neighborhood i played house in with my first real boyfriend. as much as i love all this history and connection it overwelms me at times. its a gift really. portland is a beautiful place.
